    Trea is constructed using engineered polymers, tubular steel and die-cast aluminum. Engineered polymers form the seat shell and primary structure, selected for flexibility and impact resistance. The base is constructed from tubular steel or aluminum depending on configuration. Die-cast aluminum is used for the solid-state recline mechanism.

Care, Maintenance & Longevity

  • Lotus Coated Performance Textile

    Routine cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth using a mild soap and water solution. Allow to air dry. Disinfection: Compatible with a 10% bleach/water solution and 70% isopropyl alcohol. Apply with a clean, damp cloth. Do not saturate. Rinse with clean water and allow to air dry. Always follow your facility's approved cleaning and disinfection protocols.

  • Frame and base

    Can be wiped down with the same damp cloth and mild soap solution. Standard lab and healthcare cleaning agents are safe to use on all hard surfaces.

Todd Bracher is an industrial designer, strategic advisor, and author whose practice spans disciplines, industries, and cultures. Over a 25-year career, he has brought more than 200 products to market for leading global brands including Herman Miller, Humanscale, Georg Jensen, Fritz Hansen, Issey Miyake, and 3M—earning recognition as a three-time International Designer of the Year. Bracher is the founder of Design in Context, a methodology built on the principle that form follows function, function follows context. By placing business objectives, human needs, and contemporary culture at the center of the design process, the framework produces solutions that are quietly effective, deeply considered, and built to endure. After a decade working across Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, and London, Bracher returned to his native New York, where he is based in Brooklyn.
